Terms and Conditions

§ 1 Scope

(1) These Terms and Conditions apply to all business relationships between the customer and Parkzone-Hahn (hereinafter "Operator").

(2) They apply to the provision of parking spaces for motor vehicles and the shuttle service to and from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport.

(3) The version valid at the time of contract conclusion applies.

(4) Deviating terms of the customer do not apply unless the Operator expressly agrees in writing.

§ 2 Contract Conclusion

(1) The contract is concluded upon booking confirmation, or at the latest when the vehicle is parked on the premises.

(2) The customer must provide the following information when booking:

• First and last name
• Address (street, house number, postal code, city)
• Email address
• Phone number
• License plate number
• Arrival and departure dates and times
• Number of persons (for shuttle service)
• Flight number (optional, for coordination)

(3) Multiple vehicle bookings: Multiple vehicles can be booked together. A separate parking ticket will be issued for each vehicle, but they will be managed as a combined booking. Individual vehicles can be cancelled separately.

(4) Contact person: The booking customer is the primary contact person and is responsible for all vehicles in the booking. If the booking customer cannot be reached in case of overdue vehicles, they may be held liable as the responsible party.

(5) By booking, the customer accepts these Terms and Conditions.

§ 3 Subject Matter and Services

(1) The subject of the contract is the rental of a parking space for motor vehicles on the Operator's premises.

(2) A shuttle service to and from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport at the times specified during booking is included in the price.

(3) Self-parking principle: The customer parks their vehicle themselves in the assigned space.

(4) The Operator assumes no custody or care obligations for the parked vehicle or items contained therein.

§ 4 Prices and Payment

(1) The prices displayed on the Operator's website at the time of booking apply.

(2) All prices are final prices. No value-added tax (VAT) is charged in accordance with Section 19 of the German Value Added Tax Act (UStG).

(3) Billing is based on calendar days started. Arrival and departure days each count as full days.

(4) Payment is made before arrival for online bookings. The following payment methods are available:

• Credit card (via Stripe)
• Sepa direct debit (via Stripe)
• PayPal

(5) If the customer does not use individual services (e.g., early departure), there is no entitlement to partial refund.

§ 5 Cancellation

(1) Free cancellation: Cancellation is free of charge up to 2 days before the booked arrival date.

(2) In case of timely cancellation, the full amount paid will be refunded via the original payment method.

(3) Cancellation is no longer possible after arrival.

(4) No-shows without prior cancellation are not entitled to a refund.

§ 6 Rebooking and Extension

(1) Only extension is possible, not shortening.

(2) The prices valid at the time of rebooking apply for extensions.

§ 7 Parking Duration and Overrun

(1) If the booked parking duration is exceeded, the customer is obliged to pay for the additional days at the daily rate agreed upon at the time of booking.

(2) The customer will be automatically notified by email after the departure date and requested to extend or collect the vehicle. Multiple reminder levels may be used.

(3) If the vehicle is not collected within 7 days after the booked period expires and the customer cannot be reached, the Operator is entitled to relocate or tow the vehicle at the owner's expense and risk.

(4) Liability for overdue vehicles: The owner of an overdue vehicle is liable for all costs incurred, including towing and storage costs, as well as any damage caused by the vehicle during the overrun period.

(5) The Operator may refuse to release the vehicle until all outstanding amounts are paid in full.

§ 8 Operator's Liability

8.1 Exclusion of Liability

The Operator is not liable for:

• Damage, destruction, theft, or loss of vehicles
• Damage to vehicle accessories or contents
• Valuables left in the vehicle
• Damage by third parties (other customers, unauthorized persons)
• Theft or vandalism
• Damage due to force majeure (storms, natural events, war, civil unrest)
• Late arrival at the airport
• Damage to luggage during shuttle transport
• Unauthorized use of the vehicle

8.2 Liability in Case of Fault

(1) The Operator is fully liable for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health.

(2) For slight negligence, the Operator is only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations). In such cases, liability is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damage.

8.3 Damage Reporting

(1) Vehicle damage must be reported immediately upon departure.

(2) Leaving the premises without damage report means the vehicle is considered returned without defects.

§ 9 Customer's Liability

The customer is liable for:

• All damage caused by themselves, companions, or agents on the premises
• Damage from technical defects of their vehicle (oil loss, coolant loss, explosion, etc.) - even for unknown defects
• Contamination of the premises or groundwater (remediation by specialist company at customer's expense)
• Wrong parking or obstructing other vehicles

§ 10 Conduct on Premises

(1) The German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) apply on the premises.

(2) Staff instructions must be followed.

(3) The vehicle must only be parked in the assigned or marked space.

(4) Prohibited are:

• Vehicle repairs
• Vehicle washing
• Disposal of fluids or waste

(5) Presence on the premises is only permitted for parking and collecting the vehicle.

§ 11 Lien

(1) The Operator may refuse to release the parked vehicle until all claims are paid in full.

(2) The Operator has a statutory landlord's lien on the parked vehicle.

§ 12 Shuttle Service

(1) The shuttle service to and from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport is included in the parking price.

(2) Transport takes place at the arrival and departure times specified during booking.

(3) Shared transport is possible. Waiting times may occur.

(4) Timely arrival at the airport is not part of the contract. The Operator is not liable for missed flights.

(5) Intoxicated, disruptive, or conspicuous persons will not be transported. No replacement claim exists in this case.

§ 13 Vehicle Requirements

(1) The vehicle must be registered for public road use.

(2) Valid insurance coverage must exist.

(3) Driver's license, vehicle registration, and insurance proof must be presented upon request.

§ 14 Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

(1) Place of performance is Sohren.

(2) Jurisdiction is Simmern, provided the customer is a merchant or has no general jurisdiction in Germany.

(3) German law applies.

§ 15 Severability Clause

Should individual provisions of these Terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. In place of the invalid provision, a valid regulation shall apply that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid provision.

§ 16 Online Presence and Third-Party Services

(1) The Operator maintains an online presence on various platforms including the company website, Google Maps, and Google Reviews.

(2) Google Maps: The company location is displayed on Google Maps. When using navigation links, Google's terms of service and privacy policy apply.

(3) Google Reviews: Customers may be invited to leave a review on Google after their stay. Participation is voluntary. Google's terms of service and privacy policy apply.

(4) Booking confirmation tracking: For the purpose of measuring advertising effectiveness, anonymized conversion data may be transmitted to advertising partners (e.g., Google Ads) when a booking is completed. This only occurs if the customer has given consent via the cookie banner.

§ 17 Written Form

(1) Amendments and supplements to these Terms require written form.

(2) No verbal side agreements exist.

(3) Unilateral changes by the customer are invalid.
